Q: What's blowing up your iPod these days?

A: Honest answer: 90% of what I listen to on my iPod consists of NPR podcasts, historical podcasts, and news shows
Cool Answer: Eminem, Dr. Dre, Ludacris, Fiona Apple, Pearl Jam, Missy Elliot

E:  I go through phases with different eras and genres of music. But you can always find these on my iPod: Pearl Jam, Ben Harper, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, Third Eye Blind, Jump Little Children, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin.

Q: If you could challenge anyone to a round of Guitar Hero—who would it be?

A: I would only want to "challenge" someone in Guitar Hero if they were a guitar player like myself. Typical "gamers" would all blow me out of the water. I guess I'd love to play against Slash from Guns n Roses.

E:I'd challenge John Mayer.  I can't touch him on a real guitar, but maybe I could on Guitar Hero.  Also, people have said that I resemble him.  So, if I could beat him in Guitar Hero, I could take his place as a rock icon.

Q: What's the worst movie you've seen lately?

A: I think it was called "Awake," starring Jessica Alba. I found myself wishing I were "asleep" after about fifteen minutes of it.

E: Epic Movie

What's your favorite song to play live?

A: This is always a hard question to answer, because it changes. Some songs are great at first but then the appeal fades for me.  The song that has NEVER fallen out of favor with me is "Crossroads" by Cream.

E: "Here's to You" by FLOREZ

Q: What is the best concert you've ever been to?
A: It's a toss up between Pearl Jam in Charlotte, NC in 2003, Lauryn Hill in Orlando, FL in 2002, and Ray Charles in Vermont in 1998.

E: Pearl Jam or Coldplay

Q: What is the most embarrassing song in your collection?

A: I actually own Weird Al Yankovic's album "Smells Like Nirvana." Any song on that album would qualify as the most embarrassing song I own.

  E: several songs by Fergie
Q: What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
A: When I was three, I wanted to be a singer or a bus driver. By my account, I've achieved both. I am a songer by profession, which requires me to drive a big white van hundreds of thousands of miles a year across the country. I have fulfilled the aspirations of my three-year old heart.   E: At different points, an archaeologist, a doctor, an engineer.  However, I somehow ended up with a business degree!
Q: What's the last thing you bought?
A: The last thing I bought was 12 packs of guitar strings...Boring, but true!   E: Tickets to Carolina Cup (horse race).
Q: What is the best book you've ever read?
A: The book that had the biggest immediate emotional impact on me was Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe.    E: The Shack
Q: What is first thing you notice when you meet someone?

A: I notice the look in their eyes, their name, and the quality of their handshake or hug.

E: If they're trying too hard to get attention.
Q: List your top 3 guilty pleasures.

A:The show, "Wife Swap"

Jack on the rocks

Chinese food

E: Laying in the sun (is that considered tanning?).

Screening phone calls.

Being a fan of the Indigo Girls.
